jee ka rog niralaa hai..
jab yeh kasoo ko holay hai,
taaron ke sang jaage hai....
ashqon ke sang solay hai .
baad-e-sabaa deewani hai....
gulshan-gulshan dolay hai.
kis jalwe ko dhoonde hai...
ghunghat ghunghat kholay hai.
(baad-e-sabaa= pleasant, gentle the early morning breeze)
os badee deewani hai..
dasht main moti rolay hai.
chaand badaa shaudaai hai....
dhoodh main heere dholay hai.
(os=dew; dasht=hands; shaudaai=crazy)
Dil apna mastanaa hai...
rahbar-rahzan kya jaane.
jo bhi dhab se baat kare...
saath useekay holay hai.
(rahbar=the one who helps or facilitates;
rahzan=the one who plunders or loots)
iss tiflon ke mele main....
khel-khilonay bikte hain.
aansoo kaun khareedega...
kyon palkon par tolay hai.
( tiflon=bright(or loud but shallow) things,or
blatant and vulgar display of shallow things )
yeh to'sukhan' deewanaa hai...
iski baatein kaun sunay.
'faiz'-o-'firaaq' ki mehfil main....
'mir' ki boli bolay hai!!!!!!!!!!!!
The last sher was written because the nazm was composed in 'mir' taqi mir's
language-dialect.( of-course it is also because it means that these days the
language spoken and understood is quiet different from that of love-or jee ka rog!)
